Mission

OMPACO is a Boston-based philanthropic group, comprised of concerned individuals, who are committed to ensuring balanced access to and quality of medical treatment for children worldwide Founded in 2002, OMPACO's mission is to balance access to and quality of health care for children overseas, specifically we: provide second-line medications and treatments at affordable prices for children who do not respond or only respond partially to commonly available drugs; establish training sites for professionals e.g. pediatricians, psychologists, psychiatrists, neurologists, social workers and others - who are interested in spending some time overseas working with children who have mental and physical health needs, develop pyscho-educational programs and support parent groups.

We enable and support physicians and service providers who assist families overseas in obtaining needed medical supplies at affordable prices and in increasing the families' understanding  and management of their child's mental and physical health .

OMPACO welcomes financial and in-kind donations for:

· pharmaceutical and medical supplies

· shipping and transportation

· board and travel costs to support OMPACO sponsored staff abroad

· development and production of training materials and public outreach programs

· materials and general operating costs
